MASSAGE CREDENTIALS
Nicole is a Licensed Massage Practitioner with 15+ years of experience. She graduated from a 600 hour program at the Potomac Massage Training Institute in 2004. Established in 1976, PMTI is one of Maryland’s oldest and most well regarded schools.
Nicole’s initial training in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage was later enhanced by her love of anatomy and further exploration of her trade. She chose to study Neuromuscular Therapy and the techniques that facilitated a more detailed understanding of trigger points. This very clinical approach to massage offers great relief for long time muscle holding patterns within the body.
In an effort to contrast this very Western style of massage, Nicole has also been practicing an adapted form of Thai massage, called Thai-on-the-table. It’s more holistic, Eastern approach offers a rhythmic and meditative session that includes a variety of stretching and compression techniques. Nicole often equates this style of work, to 'having yoga done for you'.
Nicole's clients enjoy a combination of these two very different styles of massage as a way to gain balance in the body and mind. Overall, Nicole likes to approach every session with a fresh set of eyes, changing perspectives to enhance the body’s natural ability to heal and adapt.

YOGA EXPERIENCE
Nicole Zeigler has been a RYT certified yoga instructor since 2016 and a licensed massage therapist since 2004. She completed her 200 hour teacher training at Willow Street Yoga Studio in Silver Spring MD, a well established studio recognized for its anatomical approach to Hatha Yoga. As a licensed massage therapist, this orientation aligned with Nicole's existing understanding of human bodies move and heal.
Nicole’s personal experiences with yoga as a mental and physical practice for healing and nourishing the body and mind began during her early career as a massage therapist and young mother. She practiced yoga to counteract the physical toll that life inflicts and in committing herself to a regular yoga practice, she realized that she wanted to share the healing she found there and commenced yoga teacher training.
Nicole’s joyful approach to yoga emphasizes that sometimes less can be more when engaging in practice. She enjoys helping her students create space in the mind and body through a series of breathing practices. She strives to create small moments of meditations in motion while moving through the asanas/poses. Nicole’s classes are tailored to support the needs of her students and draw upon her extensive knowledge of anatomical movement and her deep compassion for the human experience.
Nicole teaches individual, couples and group yoga classes and can work with students to create a yoga practice that strengthens the body and calms the mind. She is also able to design an individualized yoga and massage program to meet the healing and relaxation needs of her clients.
